We are delighted to be able to offer Pilates Mat Classes. Led by APPI qualified Pilates instructor Kathyrn Kent. These classes offer a unique clinical approach. By combining traditional Pilates exercises with our extensive understanding of the bio-mechanics of the body and the requirements of the muscular system we can tailor and modify exercises for rehabilitation and injury prevention.
Mat work Pilates is based on the same principles as equipment Pilates - improving local muscle strength and control particularly around the spine and pelvis - but uses floor-based exercises and your own bodyweight as resistance. The advantage of this is that you can practise the exercises at home for even better results.
Whether you are recovering from a specific injury, would like to manage ongoing spinal problems more effectively or would like to improve your general strength and flexibility, then these classes will suit you. We keep the class sizes small to ensure we can teach and monitor each individual within the class and progress you at your own rate.
Classes are held at the The Cotswolds Health and Fitness Club, next door to our clinic and can be booked in a block of six classes. Booking is essential as places are limited and are going fast.
